EIGHT-WEEK TIMELINE WAS CRITICAL TO SUCCESS
The 22,500-square-foot building, roof decking, and
precast walls arrived on time, allowing crews to
start erecting immediately. The Long Bay System
enables fast and affordable construction of buildings
that require large open floor space, such as the
expansion Nutheads needed. The system allows for
bays up to 65 feet and roof loading up to 70 psf.
Choosing the Long Bay System made the process
easier, requiring no on-site welding and increased
customer savings on steel and erection costs. In
fact, once the products arrived, Hammers was able
to erect the facility within five days. In two weeks,
the building was completely enclosed with a rubber
KLN FAMILY BRANDS, Nutheads’ parent company,
was able to meet production of snack orders with the
newly expanded facility. Sweet.
THE LONG BAY SYSTEM’S QUICK ASSEMBLY allowed Hammers Construction specialists to erect Nutheads’ warehouse expansion within five days. They finished the
project by wrapping the entire structure with pre-cast tilt-up concrete walls.

was able to simplify the project within the eight-week timeframe and enabled the owner to bring in
equipment one week ahead of schedule.
This is one of several buildings Hammers has built
with a Metallic metal building system for KLN Family
Brands, the parent company of Nutheads. The Long
Bay System ease of installation and cost savings
ensured its place in Hammer’s arsenal of design
options and allowed Nutheads to meet production
for July’s snack orders to be on time.
